Divers remain on scene near DirtWorks, Inc. of Vicksburg off Warrenton Road, searching for a dump truck that submerged in the Mississippi River around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Vicksburg Police Officer Russell Dorsey said the truck was waiting on an incline to get a load of gravel, and the driver was unable to stop the truck from falling into the river near a barge.

Authorities said the driver is believed to still be in the truck, and divers are continuing their search.
