Local organization gives scholarships

The First Mississippi Chapter of Blacks In Government, Vicksburg, recently awarded scholarships to two deserving graduating seniors.

Robert L. Terry III is a 2016 Vicksburg High School graduate. He is the son of Mr. Robert Terry and Ms. Shannon Hicks. Terry is currently attending Jackson State University in Jackson where he is studying engineering.

Euril D. Jones is also a 2016 Vicksburg High School graduate.  He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Euril Jones. Jones is currently attending Mississippi State University in Starkville where he is studying civil engineering.

The First Mississippi Chapter of Blacks In Government offers two scholarships annually to local graduating seniors. The scholarship process is organized by the Mentoring, Outreach and Scholarship Committee.
