A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college and NFL football games over the weekend:
• Grambling linebacker DeArius Christmas (Warren Central) had six total tackles, one forced fumble, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup in a 31-21 loss to Arizona.
• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) saw the first playing time of his college career in a 56-0 win over Savannah State.
• Belhaven offensive lineman Steve Cooper (Vicksburg High) started at left guard in a 59-13 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater, the No. 2 ranked team in Division III.
• Alcorn State wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) had 60 total yards on three kickoff returns in a 21-18 win over Alabama State. His longest return was 22 yards.
• Cornell College (Iowa) running back Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) played, but did not have a carry or a reception in a 63-6 loss to Coe College.
4Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time in a 38-13 win over Wofford.
• Mississippi State cornerback Chris Stamps (Warren Central) played, but did not record a tackle in a 27-14 win over South Carolina.
• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg) had four total tackles and two pass defenses in a 23-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
