William James Stewart Jr.

William James Stewart Jr., age 75, of San Diego, passed away at his home Aug. 20, 2016.
Mr. Stewart was born Aug. 16, 1941, in Vicksburg.
He attended Rosa A. Temple High School and graduated in 1959. He attended Jackson State University and served in the United States Army.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he specialized in Jungian psychology, and was one of founders of the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing, an awareness-oriented school of manual therapy, where he taught from 1979-2015. He was especially known for his seminars in imagination and dreams.
He is survived by his life partner, Edward Maupin; brothers and sisters, Charles Stewart, Tommy Winn (Sylvia) of Fort Worth, Texas, Pinkye Stewart of Vicksburg, and Mary Stewart Kimbrough of Friendswood, Texas; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Brooks Stewart and William James Stewart Sr.; his sisters and brothers, Jacqueline Beatrice Stewart, Faye Stewart Washington, George Earl Chung and Paul Stewart.
