Eagle Lake issues boil water notice

Published 8:14 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2016

At 5:30 p.m. Wednesday the Eagle Lake Water District issued a boil water notice for customers who get their water from the Warren County water supplier.

The notice impacts 150 customers in the district covering from the water plant to the main line levee.

The notice was issued because of one or more line breaks causing a loss of pressure. A loss of pressure can cause contaminates to siphon into the water.

The Mississippi Department of Health was notified and will test the water until it has proven to be clean for two consecutive days. It is recommended to boil water for two minutes until the notice is lifted.
