Porters Chapel Academy’s fast-pitch softball team went 1-for-2 on Monday, but that was good enough.

The Lady Eagles lost to Amite School Center 5-0 at the MAIS Class AA South State tournament, but beat Tallulah Academy 7-1 in the fourth-place game to clinch a berth in the Class AA state tournament.

The Class AA tournament will be held Saturday and next Monday at Shiloh Park in Brandon.
