A Vicksburg teenager faces charges of shooting into an occupied vehicle and two other people are charged with armed robbery in a shooting last Wednesday that wounded one man.
Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said Uriah Warfield, 17, is being charged as an adult in the Wednesday shooting in which Brandon Jackson, 25, was wounded in the back.
Jackson remains in good condition at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Williams said Louis Gaskin, 35, is accused of armed robbery, and Tiarra Denegall, 21, of Moss Point, is accused of conspiracy to commit armed robbery in the reported robbery of Warfield, which occurred before the shooting that wounded Jackson.
All three were being held without bail pending an initial appearance Tuesday in Municipal Court.
According to police reports, Warfield said he was in his car when he was robbed by Gaskin about 3 p.m. The location of the robbery has not been determined. He said Gaskin took his keys during the robbery and threw them in some nearby bushes.
An hour later, Warfield was standing by his car in the 1000 block of Second North Street, when he saw Gaskin and Denegall in a passing car driven by Jackson. He fired one shot at the car and the bullet entered and struck Jackson in the back.
The car crashed at the corner of Grove and Second North, and Jackson got out, collapsing later near the Academy of Innovation.
Jackson reportedly then crawled to front of the school, where he received help from school officials called for emergency responders.
