(B) WC 63, Hazlehurst 48
Warren Central (3-1) continued its early-season hot streak by beating Hazlehurst for its third win in a row.
Chavis Smith led the Vikings with 22 points, while Jalen Glass scored nine. Warren Central never trailed and went 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the second half.
Jakavias Thomas led Hazlehurst with 18 points, Zmaya Walton had 11, and Eric Rhymes scored 10.
“We had a good defensive effort,” Warren Central coach Bruce Robinson said. “We are still making some mistakes on defense and we are not smooth enough on offense. I felt like we were better conditioned than them.”
