Funeral services for Joseph Glen Pierce Sr. will be Saturday, Jan.  21, at Greater Mount Lebanon M. B. Church at noon with the Rev. Dr. John H. Williams officiating; interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

There will be a visitation Friday in the chapel from 7 to 8 p.m.

Joseph Glen Pierce Sr. passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, at Merit Health River Region following a brief illness. He was 52.

He was employed at the Goggins Warehouse as a forklift operator and was a member of the Greater Mount Lebanon M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Gaskin Pierce of Vicksburg; his two sons, Jacory McCalpin of Vicksburg and Joseph Glen Pierce Jr. of Bloomington, Minn.; his seven daughters, A’ Keyia Harris of Vicksburg, Kanysa Pierce of Nashville, Tenn., Asia Wright, Ashainte Wright and Mary Wright, all of Vicksburg, Rhonda Connor of Memphis, Tenn., and Deidra Connor of Vicksburg; his mother, Marie Horton Pierce of Vicksburg; his two brothers, Andrew Louis Horton of Baton Rouge, La. and Billy Pierce of Oakland, Calif.; eight sisters, Carrie Anderson and Gretie Lee, both of Oakland, Calif., Theresa Lynn of Vicksburg, Deloris Marie Pierce Green of Vicksburg, Debra Pierce of Madison, Martha Pierce Robinson, Peggy V. Pierce and Vivian L. Pierce, all of Vicksburg, nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others
