William “Bill” Francis Gretzinger

William “Bill” Francis Gretzinger passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at his home after a brief illness, and has gone to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was 84. Born in Delta, La., he was the son of the late Mary Lizzie and Charles William Gretzinger. Bill was a retired employee of the Corps of Engineers and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Manasco, Lily Grant, Mildred Paine and Mary Martin.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Neda Hoover Gretzinger of Vicksburg; four daughters, Carrie Theresa Hynum (Don) of Port Gibson; Kathy Ann Taylor of Vicksburg; Sandra Delores Morgan of Vicksburg; Melanie Renae McCallum of Mendenhall; one son, Charles Wesley Gretzinger (AnnaMarie) of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Polly Guin of Vicksburg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Smith, Bryan Sellers, Don Hynum, Cody Gray, Reggie DeLorme and Andrew Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Hoover, Ryan Hoover, Nolan McCallum, Phillip Noble, Don Jones, Dr. Sam Pierce and all physicians of Merit Health River Region Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, Miss., 39213.
