Dillon was one of two men charged in the Nov. 4, 2012, shooting death of Mardy Blackmore, 28, at the Vanguard Apartments and dumping his body behind the apartment complex. Blackmore’s body was found by an apartment resident who called police.

Dillon was initially charged with murder in the case. The second man, Christopher Glen Polk, was also charged with murder, but was indicted as an accessory after the fact, District Attorney Ricky Smith said. He said Polk’s case is still pending.
