Edward “Morris” Landers

Mr. Edward “Morris” Landers passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017. He was 84.
He passed one day shy of his 60th wedding anniversary to his loving wife, Vera Jordan Landers.
Morris served in the Korean War and was a proud Army Veteran in civilian life.
He was a welder at Waterways Experiment Station for 30 years, where he retired. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and a little rest and recuperation.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lela Landers; father, Samuel Matthew Landers Sr.; sister, Mary Louise McMahon; and a brother, Samuel Matthew Landers Jr.
He is survived by his four sons, Charles Jordan (Nue), Billy Landers (Barbara), Edwin Ralph Landers (Mary) and Ernest Ray Landers; two daughters, Katherine Barrett (Ronnie) and Annette Laiche (Jerry); three brothers, Willard “WR” Landers, Harvey Landers and Charles Landers; 12 grandchildren, Heath Jordan, Cody Jordan, Amanda B. Rosenberg, Ernest Roy Landers Jr., Brett Landers, Casey Landers, Sunnie Cook, Ronnie Barrett Jr., Courtney L. Hauptman, Ashley Wallace, Chelsea Laiche, Kelby Laiche; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, in Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Monk officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barrett Jr., Kelby Laiche, Jonathan Hauptman, Scottie May, Casey Landers and Butch Landers.
