Christine Myers, 89, of Hattiesburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hattiesburg with interment in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Myers was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She also was a past elementary school teacher.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Larue Kintz.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, David Myers of Hattiesburg; a son, Geoffrey (Mary Ann) Myers of Simpsonville, S.C.; a daughter, Diane Christine (Jim) Stroo of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren, Katherine Myers, Jessica (Lucas) Johnson, Michaela Myers, Stephanie Pendergrass, Jonathan Pendergrass, and Matthew Pendergrass.
