Stacey Michelle Miller Fewell

Stacey Michelle Miller Fewell was born Dec. 7, 1968, and passed away Feb. 2, 2017, in Houston, Texas.
Stacey is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James (Pauline Daniel) Bland Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Mrs. Willie B. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. (Carrie Paul) Lewis M. Miller Sr.; and her great-grandparents, Mr. Leonard Taylor and Mrs. Bessie Taylor, with whom she had a very special relationship.
She is survived by her two sons, Austin Taylor Fewell and Tyler Keith Fewell of Houston; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. (Carolyn Bland) Miller Jr.; her siblings, Lewis M. “Rusty” Miller III and Steven Joel Miller, all of Vicksburg, and Alexandra (Bradley) Downey of Ridgeland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who mourn her passing.
Stacey graduated from Warren Central High School, class of 1986, where she was a basketball player and cheerleader.
She graduated from University of Mississippi in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. While a student at Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
She attended Mississippi College and earned a certificate in elementary education. She was awarded a Master of Science in school psychology from the University of Houston in 2002 with distinguishing honors memberships in Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and Psi Chi National Psychology Honor Society.
She was a licensed specialist in school psychology with the Katy Independent School District in Katy, Texas. She was a fierce advocate for the children with whom she worked, especially on the autism spectrum. She loved her work and was looking forward to continuing her education to become an Advocate for Special Education for children and their parents.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Houston.
Stacey loved attending concerts with friends and traveling extensively in the United States and abroad. She backpacked through Australia, scuba dived off the Great Barrier Reef, bungee jumped from a cliff high over the Pacific Ocean in New Zealand and spent many happy years snow skiing in Colorado.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her two sons Austin and Tyler.
A Gathering of Friends Ceremony was held at the Forest Club in Houston. Friday, Feb. 10, hosted by her Houston family.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, Feb. 18, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
Services will be at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Dwight Sibley and Dr. Matt Buckles.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ric Speights, Sean Brewer, Kevin Breazeale, Jamie Greer, Kenny Wilson and George Wilkerson.
