Larry Hunter died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 84.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hunter; and granddaughter, Dewana Rogers.
He is survived by six children; Dorothy, Shirley, Ray (Charlene), Catherine (Adam), Wanda and Karen; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elvira McPherson; one sister-in-law, Betty McDowell; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Larry “Dickey” Flowers and Howard Johnson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Second Union Baptist Church, 18074 Old Port Gibson Road, Utica. Interment will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, from 1 to 7 p.m.
