Carl Millis

PANAMA CITY, Fla.—Carl Millis of Panama City passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at a local hospital. He was 84.

He was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Apalachicola, Fla., and was a graduate of Bay High School Class of 1949. 

Carl retired in 1994 from International Paper Company in Vicksburg and enjoyed yard work.

Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Goff Hill; his father, Laurel Dwight Millis; brother, Harold Millis; and daughter, Carlleen Millis Irby. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Verniece Millis; sons, Clark D. Millis of Joplin Mo., and Charles R. Millis of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Erin McCullar, Nathan Irby and Cara E. Millis; great-grandson, Ethan McCullar; brother, Donald Millis and wife Doris; and sister-in-law, Annette Millis.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. 

The family will receive friends and visitors Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Panama City.
