Bobby Harper Shelton

Bobby Harper Shelton died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was 76.
Born Feb. 2, 1941, in McNair, he was the son of the late Mabry G. Shelton and Mamie King Shelton.
He was a veteran serving in Vietnam with the Army.
He was a retired Trailways bus driver and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Janice Polley Miller (Richard); two grandchildren, Chase Miller (Jessica) and Colby Miller; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Worthy, Lana Hubbard and Gauge Miller; a brother, Tommy Shelton (Liz); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Virgie Edwards, Vera Martin and Alice Faye Shelton; and four brothers, Mabry Shelton Jr., Morgan Shelton, Emory (Wimpy) Shelton and Charles Larry Shelton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Kimbrough, Pastor of Salem Baptist Church, officiating.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Robert Earl King, Henry King, Roy King, Bobby Alan King, Carol Wayne King and Mike Shelton.
