Betty Lee Leist

Betty Lee Leist passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.  She was 77.

She was born in Warren County and lived in Vicksburg most of her life.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Watkins; her mother, Helen Sink; her stepfather, Clyde Sink; and a daughter, Darla Leist Sanders.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and planting daylilies.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Edward Leist Sr. of Vicksburg; three sons, Fred Edward Leist Jr. (Linda) of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Steven Leist (Kristy) of Vicksburg and Billy Leist (Stephanie) of Edwards; two daughters, Teri Leist Conerly (J.C.) of Edwards and Janet Leist Farris (John) of Vicksburg; two brothers, Forrest Sink of Vicksburg and Billy Watkins of Port Gibson; a sister, Carolyn Sheppard of Braxton; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Glenwood Funeral Home with services at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. W. Ricky Dorrell officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Harris, Chase Conerly, Daniel Edwards, Nolan Farris, Chris Dorrell, Randy Woods, Danny Robinson and Randy Stewart.
