St. Al football reunion

St. Aloysius will host a reunion for all former football players Saturday, Sept. 23 at Farrell Hall. The event is open to St. Al players, coaches and managers of all ages and eras, and will include speeches by former player Eddie Ray and coach Andy Bourgeois.

Tickets are $45 and proceeds benefit St. Al’s football program. Online registration is available through Eventbrite.com or by emailing Michael Mahoney at michael@legends.a2hosted.com.

True Color Run

Registration is now open for the third annual True Color Run hosted by the United Way of West Central Mississippi. The race will take place Sept. 23 at 8 a.m., and will begin and end in the BankCorpSouth parking lot on South Street. The 2.45-mile course will include five color stations.

Registration for the race can be completed online at unitedwayvicksburg.org/run. The entry fee is $30, and it’s $15 for the 1-mile fun run.

The True Color Run is also seeking volunteers to help with race operations. Those interested can sign up at unitedwayvicksburg.org/true-color-run-volunteer-opportunities.

Over the River Run

Registration is now open for the 29th annual Over the River Run, a 5-mile run and race walk across the Old Mississippi River Bridge.

This year’s race is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 at 8 a.m. at the Mississippi Welcome Center on Washington Street. A 1-mile children’s fun run will follow the 5-mile events.

The entry fee for the race is $25 for the 5-mile run and walk, or $15 for children 10 and under. There is also a family rate of $75 for up to five family members living at the same address. The registration fees will go up to $35 and $25 on race day. The entry fees include admission to the postrace party at Ameristar’s Delta Point parking lot on Washington Street.

All proceeds from the race benefit The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation.

Hinds CC golf tourney

Hinds Community College’s Warren-Claiborne County Alumni Chapter will host the Clyde Donnell and Othel Mendrop Memorial Golf Tournament Oct. 18 at Clear Creek Golf Course in Bovina.

The tournament is a four-person scramble, and will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration begins at 12:30. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, as well as for closest to the hole and longest drive.

The registration fee is $75 per player and includes green fee, cart, hamburger dinner and refreshments. Hole sponsorships are available for $100, and team sponsorships for $300.
