Warren Central did not play last week, but did lose yardage in the Associated Press Mississippi high school football poll.

The Vikings (3-1) dropped one spot to No. 8 in the state’s overall Top 10. Class 4A Poplarville (5-0) moved up two spots to pass them as the middle of the overall poll saw a shakeup.

The top three teams — West Point, Pearl and Tupelo — remained the same for the third week in a row. Pearl’s 14-7 win over Madison Central shifted the rest of the Top 10, however.
