Sunday, a young man described as being 15 to 16 years old, wearing a white coat with a red bandana across his face, walked into the A&V Discount Tobacco & Beer at 2901 Clay St. about 8:21 p.m., produced a gun and demanded money.

The clerk on duty gave the robber about $15, and he left the store on foot.

Saturday, officers responded to a call at the Merit Health River Region emergency room, where a man told them he was robbed by three men at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Denmans Alley.

The man said he was walking home about 12:44 p.m. Saturday when a man approached him, displayed a knife and told him to “give it up.” He said he fought with the men and was cut on his left forearm. He was treated and later released, Edwards said.

In other cases:

• Police arrested Justin Brown, 31, about 1:10 p.m. Sunday at El Sombrero, Cypress Center Drive, on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant charging him with probation violation.

• Calvin Brewer, 32, was arrested Friday at Walmart on Iowa Boulevard on a city police warrant charging him with possession of oxycodone.
