OXFORD — Douglas “Doug” Richard Buglewicz, 43, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at his home in Water Valley.

A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Oxford with the Rev. Father Joe Tonos officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening, Sept. 29, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home, and again at 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

The Rosary service will follow Friday evening’s visitation beginning at 7 p.m. at the Waller Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Walla Walla, Wash., to Eugene George and Joan Wallace Buglewicz, Doug worked as the coordinator of support services at North Mississippi Regional Center for 21 years.

He was a Catholic and the chairman of the alumni advisory board of the Alpha Gamma of Chi Psi and a member of the national executive council of Chi Psi fraternity.

A 1996 graduate of the University of Mississippi, Doug was an avid Ole Miss fan and was a founding member of both the BGA and the University of Mississippi Intra Fraternity Council Advisory Board. Additionally, he earned his master’s in educational psychology at Ole Miss.

Doug is survived by his parents, Eugene G. and Joan W. Buglewicz; his brother, Andrew A. Buglewicz and his wife, Malinda of Oxford and a niece, Vivienne A. Buglewicz of Oxford.
