Christine Mitchell Frisbee

Christine Mitchell Frisbee, age 72, died peacefully at her home in Vaiden on Wednesday, Nov. 15, surrounded by her loved ones.

Christine was born to Wiley and Evelyn Mitchell on April 8, 1945, in Benoit and grew up in the Mississippi Delta.

She lived her life for her family and friends and most of all, for our most gracious God.

She loved to bring beauty to life in the form of entertaining family and friends, gardening, cooking, tailoring and decorating.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Boarder Frisbee; her parents, Wiley and Evelyn Mitchell; sister, Rosemary Hearn; brothers, Joseph Mitchell and Wiley “Buzzy” Mitchell; and her grandson, Jinx Peterson Smith Jr.

Survivors include her children, Cliff Grey (Mandy), Christy Grey Noah (Bobby), Bonnie Grey Morgan (Joel); grandchildren, Callie Grey, Stanton Smith, Garrett Grey, Brett Grey, Gabbie Morgan, and Grayson Morgan; stepchildren, Dennis Frisbee (Carla), Ted Frisbee (Alexis), and Arlene Bridges; step-grandchildren, Michael Spann, Dennis Frisbee, Leigh Lentz, Alex Frisbee, Owen Frisbee, Koury Collins, and Ashley Collins Purvis; great-granddaughter, Kingsleigh Jinx Smith; sisters, Frances Barnett and Alice Bridges; and her loving caregiver, Mary Lofton.

A memorial service will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg Saturday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m., with a visitation to begin at 10 a.m. The Rev. Matt Buckles and the Rev. Frank LeScalette will officiate the service.

A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Vaiden Cemetery in Vaiden with the Rev. Phil McRae and Bro. Durward Stanton officiating.
