Vicksburg’s water pressure should be back to normal within an hour, or shortly after noon, said George Flaggs Jr., Vicksburg mayor.

City water customers lost some water pressure at about 10 a.m. Friday. However, no boil water notice is necessary because not enough pressure was lost, Flaggs said.

The loss of pressure was caused by an internal electrical issue at the plant, which has been repaired, he said.
