James Cessna Sr. died Dec. 18, 2017, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 69.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Diane Cessna; children, James Cessna, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., Brandy Cessna of Vicksburg, Mandy (Dedrick) Lindsey of Olive Branch, Jeffery (Pam) Linzy of Pensacola, Fla., and Aimee (Kelby) Norton of Houston, Texas; siblings, John (Elaine) Cessna of Utica, Odia (Anderson) White of Vicksburg, Ruby Lockhart of Killeen, Texas, Willie (Dorothy) Clark of Vicksburg, Minnie (Eugene) and Coraless Jones, both of New Orleans, special goddaughter, Alean Luster; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at New Poplar Grove Independent Methodist Church with Pastor Ronald Kaho officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m. with family present 5 to 6 p.m.
