Peggy made her journey home to our Father in heaven on Tuesday, December 12,
2017. She was born on May 4, 1960, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. Miller, Sr. (Carrie Paul). She was welcomed to the large, boisterous, loving Miller family by one brother and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her father in 2001, her mother in 2016, and a special
niece, Stacey Miller Fewell, in 2017. Peggy is survived by her children, Colby Renee
Miller of Nolensville, Tennessee, and Taylor Randolph Miller of Clayton, North Carolina. She is also survived by her brother, Lewis M. Miller, Jr. (Carolyn), and her sisters, Carlis Miller Abney (James), Renee Miller, Diane Miller Klaus (Ken) of Vicksburg; Connie Miller (Monte Pearson) of Dallas, Oregon, and Cindy Miller Ables (Art Payne) of Clinton. Peggy also leaves behind a delightful aunt, Jean Chapman, of Barboursville, West Virginia; devoted family friend, Claudette Haggard, of Vicksburg and numerous Miller and Paul cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends in Mississippi and North Carolina.
Peggy’s family is comforted by knowing that she left this transitory life to live forever in perfect peace in the arms of her angel. In her lifetime, there were times of unbridled joy, compassion, and strength. Let us all celebrate and cherish our best memories of Peggy and keep them alive.
A private service will be held at a later date in Clayton, North Carolina. Memorials may be made to Batson Children’s Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi, St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, or to a charity of your choice.
