Amy Elizabeth Carraway passed away Jan. 7, 2018, at her home at the age of 41.

Amy was born on Aug. 5, 1976, in Vicksburg to her parents Glenn and Doris Carraway.

She was an angel here on earth and brought joy to everyone who met her.  She was able to live at home with her parents for her entire life.  She loved her busy boxes.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Carraway; her maternal grandparents, LLoyd and Jeanette Lee; her paternal grandparents, Rufus and Roxie Carraway; and her brother-in-law, William N. Purdom.

She is survived by her mother, Doris Lee Carraway of Vicksburg; her sisters, Marcy Purdom of Vicksburg, Karen A. Brown (Todd) of Clinton, Lisa R. Harris (Bob) of Vicksburg and Susan Boyd-Griffin (Ben) of Diamondhead; nieces and nephews; and Special Angels, Mary Thomas, Louise Andrews and Lori Black.

A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Edwards Cemetery. The Rev. Mitchell Hedgepeth will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Bob Harris, Todd Brown, Ben Griffin and James Mahaffey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Harris, Craig Brown, Candice Mahaffey, Aaron Purdom, Evelyn Purdom, Cody Boyd, Dr. Lee Giffin, the Vicksburg Fire Department and the Vicksburg Police Department.
