Charles T. Germany

Charles T. Germany, age 86, died in his home Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, in Vicksburg.
He was born in Newton County Feb. 23, 1931, son of the late Ruth Germany and George T. Germany. Mr. Germany attended Union High School. He received degrees from East Central Junior College and The University of Southern Mississippi.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, two of which were overseas during the Korean Conflict. He retired from LeTourneau, Inc. as director of human resources after more than 33 years of service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and member of the Cecil Knox Sunday School Class. He was a member of the American Legion, The University of Southern Mississippi Alumni Association, The Y’s Men’s Club and served as a leader in Boy Scout Troop 105.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Noble Germany; and sister-in-law, Cissy Germany.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lee Ann Germany; and three children, David Germany (Heather) of Brandon, Karen Rowell (Stephen) of Vicksburg and Susan Larson (Jay) of Nokesville, Va.; eleven grandchildren, Eric Larson (Tara) of Colo., Kristina Laurila (Matte) of Mich., Ryan Hoxie of Vicksburg, Kaden, Kristina, Lera, Luba and Vlad Rowell of Vicksburg, and Caleb, Charlotte, and Bennett Germany of Brandon; five great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and several cousins.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Matt Buckles, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Pastor Jim Hess officiating. The internment will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hoxie, Kaden Rowell, Vlad Rowell, Caleb Germany, Dustin Runnels and Jacob Runnels.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the FBC Cecil Knox Sunday School Class.
