Mary Ruth Bodron

Mary Ruth Bodron, age 85, passed away Jan. 23, 2018, in Jackson.
Ruth was born in 1932 in Vicksburg to Theophilus and Mary Henley. She was raised in Shaw, but returned to Vicksburg at the age of 18.
Ruth was married to George W. Bodron for 49 years. She retired from Vicksburg Hospital after 35 years of service.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianne B. Adkins (Claude) of Johnson City, Tenn., Sarah B. Allday of Ridgeland, Jeanne Bodron (John) of Madison; three grandchildren, Maj. Nathan T. Adkins (Rachel), Blaire A. Bittner (Nathan), Lindsay M. Allday; two great-grandchildren, George N. Adkins and baby boy Bittner due in June 2018; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husband, George W. Bodron.
Services will be at noon Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church with the Very Rev. Father Amin Houli officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Claude N. Adkins Jr., Nathan T. Adkins, John W. Hayes Jr., Nathan D. Bittner, John Allen Bodron and Jerry Lewis.
