William Steven Gall

William Steven Gall of Miramar Beach, Fla., formally of Evergreen, Ala., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018. He was 43.
A celebration of life service for Mr. William Steven Gall will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church of Evergreen with his high school coach, Coach Mike Bledsoe, the Rev. Bill Messer and the Rev. Ebb Hagan officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at the church.
Survivors include his wife of over ten years, Lauren Tate Gall of Miramar Beach, Fla., formally of Vicksburg; his mother, Dolores Gall of Evergreen; his sister and brother-in-law, Raye Ann (Trevor) Lambert; nieces and nephews, Emsley Lambert of Orange Beach, Ala., Drew Ann Lambert of Evergreen, Ala., and Zane Lambert of Evergreen, Ala.; his special aunt, Dorothy Mason Black of Evergreen, Ala.; mother-in-law, Susan H. Tate of Madison; sister-in-law and brother-in- law, Dr. Natale (JJ) Sheehan of Madison; and niece and nephew, Tate Averett and Maddie Dynan Sheehan of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Steven Gall of Evergreen, Ala., in 2006; grandfather, William Arthur Mason of Evergreen, Ala., in 1987; and grandmother, Nora Hamilton Mason of Evergreen, Ala.; in 1998.
Steven was a 1992 graduate of Sparta Academy, where he was a star athlete in basketball, football and baseball. He also attended Huntingdon College for two years, where he was named as an All-American baseball player his freshman year. He then graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Troy University in 1998, where he was also on the Troy Trojans baseball team. Steven married Lauren Tate, the love of his life, in 2007. After moving to Florida, he was a high school baseball coach and teacher before becoming a residential realtor. Steven’s passion was fishing, whether he was at the pond behind his childhood home in his waders out in the Bay, or out on the Gulf of Mexico.

Sheehan III, Tate Averett, Joe D’Agostino, John Cox, Dylan Dunlap, Evin Braxton II, Jeff Brundage, Shannon Sims, Aaron Barnes, Scott Lemke, Mitchell Turberville, Robbie Bolton, Jeremy Jones (deceased), Richard Weaver and Steven Duncan (deceased).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of William Steven Gall for the baseball program at Sparta Academy C/O of Russ Brown 300 Pierce St. Evergreen, AL 36401.
