Jonah Ray Jones

Jonah Ray Jones died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at his residence. He was 76.
Born in Carson in Jefferson Davis County, he had been a resident of Vicksburg most of his life. He was the son of the late Robert C. Jones and Josephine King Jones.
Jonah Ray was a retired welder. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lee Jones; three daughters, Shelia Smith (Eddie), Sherry Riggs and Susie Jones; six grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Brandon Smith, Kayla Riggs, Jeremiah Riggs (Ashley), Ashlie Kilpatrick (Brad) and Stephanie Frost (Brad); seven great-grandchildren, Jace, Eric, Gavin, Kinley, Kamille, Ashton and Adalynn.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Eric Michael Smith.
Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with pastor Billy Brumfield officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riles Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Dustin Smith, Brandon Smith, Jeremiah Riggs, Larry Rogers, Will Jones, Stan Jones, Danny Daniels and Allen Parsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Immanuel Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class and deacons, James Lynn, Bo-D Massy and Buddy Rowland.
