Ruby Fay Lyons Parker

Ruby Fay Lyons Parker, 81, a native of Vicksburg, passed away peacefully at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg Friday, March 16, 2018, with visitation from noon to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service.

Fay is preceded in death by her parents, J.B. Lyons and Velma Freeman Lyons; and her sisters, Lorena Lyons Gullett and Katherine Lyons; and brother, David Wayne Lyons.

She is survived by brothers, Shearwood W. Lyons, Larry James Lyons and John Robert Lyons; and sisters, Edith Lyons Farmer, Ann Lyons Lobred and Annette Lyons King.

Fay was a loving, caring wife of Dr. Selby Parker Sr. for 53 years and bore him four children; Leigh Kelly, Lisa Parker, Leslie Hydro, and Selby Parker Jr. Her sweet smile, blue eyes and beautiful spirit will be long remembered by her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Donations in her memory may be sent to Paralyzed Veterans of America or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
