Eula Mae Blackledge

Eula Mae Blackledge, 92, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, surrounded by family.

Mrs. Blackledge was born July 5, 1925 in Canton to Thomas Vaughn and Louise Temple Watts. Her smile and love for others brightened each day for all that she encountered.

She took great passion in teaching children Sunday School for many years and being a great mother and grandmother.

Her favorite past time was working in her flower garden, reading, visiting with neighbors and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Odell David Blackledge; her daughter, Shirley Blackledge; her father Thomas Vaughn; her mother, Louise Temple Watts; her brothers, James Vaughn and Harvey Willis; and her grandson George Culipher.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Huggins Misskelly (Doyle) of Maynardville, Tennessee and Jennie Windham (Todd) of Valdosta, Georgia.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Charles Culipher of Dexter, New Mexico; Karen Screws of Vicksburg; David Montague of Leland; Stacy Mathews of Colorado Springs, Colorado; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua Culipher of New Mexico; Matthew Culipher of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hunter Screws, Kori Screws and Andrew Screws all of Vicksburg; McKenzie Montague and Cameron Montague of Leland; John Mathews of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Eula is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Visitation will be Monday, March 19, 2018 from noon until the hour of the service at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.

The service will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Glenwood Funeral Home.

The Rev. Bobby Conrad will officiate. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research.
