Funeral Services for Shonya “Pooh Pooh” Brown will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 30, 2018, at CJ Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Ms. Brown died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Merit Health River Region. She was 43. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. Marble and Bettye Ballard; her maternal grandparents, Louis “Jack” Mitchell and Willie Mae Mitchell; and a niece, Sharonda Lashay Brown.

She is survived by one daughter, Ty’Anica Smith of Vicksburg; two sons, Darrius Brown and Christopher Smith, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Sandra Brown of Vicksburg and Pamela Brown of Gulfport; two brothers, Tracey Brown of Vicksburg and Jeffery Brown of Gulfport; her companion of over 20 years, Christopher Smith of Vicksburg; mother-in law and caretaker, Ceatrice Smith of Vicksburg; and a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends.
