Bobby Joe Adams died on March 30, 2018, at his residence in Vicksburg. He was 82.

Bobby Joe was born in Seminary where he lived for many years. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local. He was of the Baptist Faith.

 He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Leslie Paige Adams and his sister-in-law Frances Meadows. He is survived by his wife Joy Pettaway Adams of Vicksburg, his son Robert Joe Adams and his wife, Karen of Vicksburg, his daughter Marcia Weaver and her husband Frank of Vicksburg, his step-daughter Beth Porter and her husband Stanley of Vicksburg, his step-son R.D. Forbes and his wife Sharon of Vicksburg, his brother Darrell Adams of Crosby Texas, his sister Dena Thomas of San Leon Texas, his sister-in-law Dorothy Fleming, two grandchildren Deanna Adams and Sean Weaver, and three step-grandchildren Rhiannon Cannada, Robert Dustin Forbes and Steven D. Porter. He has 10 step great-grandchildren

A visitation will be held Monday, April 2, at Glenwood Funeral home at 10 a.m. until the hour of service. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Garden Cemetery at 11 a.m. Rev. Kent Campbell will be officiating.
