N.E.T. Team nabs nearly a dozen people

A series of investigations by Vicksburg police into citizen complaints of drug activity in different areas of the city between March and May has resulted in the arrest of 11 people on drug charges by the department’s Narcotics/N.E.T. Team.
“As we continue to fight the sale of drugs in our city, I have demanded zero tolerance of drug sales in our community,” Police Chief Milton Moore said. “The Narcotic/N.E.T. Division has been working diligently on these complaints throughout the city and the results show.
“We normally have drug roundups, but we are concentrating on the drug complaints so that the community will know that these complaints has not fallen on deaf ears.”
The arrests include:
• Jacki Thompson, no age listed, 125 Clear Creek Road, possession of methamphetamine; she has been released on bond.
• Riley James Hutto, 23, 735 Joyce Lane, possession of methamphetamine; he has been released on bond.
• Willie Earl Qualls, 53, 1101 First North Street, sale of cocaine; he is being held in the Warren County Jail.
• Sytoria Wash, 40, 603 Wicker St., Forest, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana; she has been released on bond.
• Bernard Brown, 52, 1316 Cooper Drive, sale of cocaine; he is being held in the Warren County Jail.
• Justin Ray Ballard, 25, 102 Ballard Lane, possession and sale of methamphetamine; he was released on bond.
• Bobby Deonte Moore, 41, 1200 Mission 66, sale of cocaine; he was released on bond.
• Aundrey Jerome Moore, 39, 1301 East Magnolia St., sale of cocaine; he is being held in the Warren County Jail.
• Kersey Albert Young, 26, 1200 Mission 66 Apt. 422, possession of methamphetamine, sale of cocaine and possession of ecstasy. Young was on probation for manslaughter at the time of his arrest. He has been returned to prison.
• Walter Lee Freeman Jr., 43, 461 Gibson Road Circle, sale of cocaine; he was released on bond.
• Deshawn Montellodel Williams, 26, 898 National St., possession of ecstasy and possession of methamphetine. He possessed the drugs at The Admiral Apartments 1200 Mission 66. He is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond, and a hold has been placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
