Billy Haze Stokes passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Stokes lived in Vicksburg most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Stokes Beard and Gladys Meridith.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Stokes; sons, Billy F. Stokes (Carolyn), Bobby J. Stokes (Cathy), David Stokes (Pam) and Ronnie W. Stokes (Wendy); stepson, Rex Pierce; stepdaughter, Penny Worley; brothers, Sammy Stokes (Freda) and Tommy J. Stokes (Barbara); 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with services in the chapel at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Lescallette officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
