Sunday shooting victim listed in stable condition

Vicksburg police are continuing their investigation into the Sunday morning shooting of Steven Dale Lahatte, 53.

Officers responding to a 911 call about 2:20 a.m. Sunday involving shots fired in the 1100 block of Bowmar Avenue arrived to find Lahatte on the ground in front of a building in the 2700 block of Drummond Street at the corner of Drummond and Bowmar. He had a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to Merit Health River Region and later flown to University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
