Three men arrested Saturday after an incident at the K&B Lounge in which two people were shot and a third hit by a car have been ordered held without bond after an initial appearance Monday morning in Warren County Court, jail records show.

The three men, Tony Smoots, 19, 502 Farmer St.; Keondre Price, 20, 109 Kendra Drive; and Charles Doss III, 21, 1821 Louisiana Ave.; are all charged with three counts of aggravated assault with extreme indifference in connection with the altercation, which occurred about 3 a.m. Saturday.

Doss, who is also known as “Lil Chuckie,” was out on bond on a charge of aggravated assault that occurred March 23 in the city. He is accused of shooting a man in the leg.

Smoots was charged in 2017 in two separate indictments, one charging him with shooting into a motor vehicle and shooting into a dwelling-house, and another charging him with aggravated assault and shooting into a commercial building. All four charges involved incidents that occurred in 2016.

District Attorney Ricky Smith said authorities had two active warrants for Smoot charging him with failure to appear after he failed to show up in February for trial in Circuit Court.

According to sheriff’s office reports, deputies were called about 3 a.m. Saturday about a shooting at the K&B Lounge and arrived to find the wounded man and woman. The man had a grazed wound to the head and the woman was shot once in the buttocks. The injured 19-year-old was in the parking lot.

While deputies were questioning patrons, a 1984 Buick containing Smoots, Price and Doss pulled into the parking lot and the patrons identified the vehicle as the one used by the shooters. The three men were taken into custody and the car seized by deputies, who found two semi-automatic handguns, a 9 mm and a .40-caliber, in the vehicle.
