Sallie F. Bailey, a Vicksburg resident, passed away Monday, June 4, at her residence surrounded by family. She was 75.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonah and Lula Ross; her brothers, R.L. Ross, Ray Ross Sr., Jimmy Ross, Johnny Ross and L.V. Ross; and her sisters, Frankie Seal Fosters and Ada Faye Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Bailey; her five sons, Steven Bailey, Johnnie Bailey III, Tony Bailey, Berry Bailey, all of Vicksburg, and Perry Bailey of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Nancy Bailey and Helen Ragsdale both of Vicksburg and Connie Harris of Columbus; a sister, Lizzie Rader of Vicksburg; and 29 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Sallie F. Bailey will be Saturday, June 9, at City Auditorium at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Adrian Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
