A suspect has been arrest in connection with a shooting Wednesday morning.

Vicksburg Police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said Austin Marshall Terrell, 22, was detained Wednesday and charged with attempted murder. Terrell had his initial appearance before Warren County Judge Johnny Price Thursday and is being held without bond.

Terrell is accused of shooting a 14-year-old multiple times Wednesday on Pearl Street. Vicksburg Police officers responded to a call of a shooting at about 9:07 a.m. Wednesday where they found the victim shot multiple times.

The victim was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where Edwards said he remains in stable, but serious condition as of Thursday afternoon.

Edwards said the case remains under investigation and they have not determined a motive.
