Man will serve two years in prison for theft of AR-15 rifle from pawn shop

A Vicksburg man will serve two years in prison after pleading guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to possession of a stolen firearm.
Ke’Andre Tyrell Thomas, 20, 74 Redhawk Road, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Feb. 12 on firearm theft charges involving the theft of an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle from Top Dollar Pawn Shop, 3421 Washington St.
Circuit Judge M. James Chaney sentenced Thomas to five years with three suspended and placed him on three years’ post-release supervision. Thomas was also ordered to pay $1,584.50 in fines, fees court costs and restitution.
In other cases:
• Quinton Norfort, 23, 4725 Roberta Circle, third-offense domestic violence; five-year suspended sentence, placed on five years probation and ordered to pay $2,084.50 in fines, fees and restitution.
• Loren Raymond Ellis, 42, 205 Hilda Jay Drive, Brandon, failure to register as a sex offender; five years three days to serve (credit for time served), five years’ post release supervision and ordered to pay $2,084.50 on fines, fees, costs and restitution.
• Joe William Smith, 49, 2160 County Road, Selma, Ala., receiving stolen property; four years suspended, placed on four years’ supervised probation and ordered to pay $2,434.50 in fines fees, costs and restitution.
• Matthew Michael Stanley, 22, no address given, possession of a controlled substance; five years withheld pending successful completion of the 9th Judicial District Drug Court Program.
• Donnell Judge, 41, 71 Mingos Road, sex offender- failure to notify of change of address; five years with four days to serve (credit for time served), four years’ post relief supervision and pay $1,584.50 in fees, court costs and restitution.
• Matthew Adrian Dill, 36, 114 Hawkins St., malicious mischief; acceptance of guilty plea sentence and fines withheld pending completion of the 9th Judicial District Drug Court Program.
• Tracy Tobias Dart, 52, no address given, burglary of a vehicle; sentence withheld with exception of fines pending completion of five years’ supervised probation and ordered to pay $1,884.50 in fines, fees and restitution.
• Cory Lynn Beard, 39, no address given, third-offense DUI; five years with one year to serve in the Mississippi Department of Corrections Intensive supervision Program with the remainder suspended pending completion of electronically monitored four years’ post-release supervision and ordered to pay $2,634.50 in fines, fees, costs and restitution.
• Glenale Foster, 26, 1223 Bowmar Ave., possession of a stolen firearm; five years suspended and placed on five years’ supervised probation, and ordered to pay $2,084.50 in fines fees and court costs.
