Burned BMW being investigated

A 2009 BMW 1050i parked at the Park Residences at Bienville was burned about 3:36 a.m. Wednesday, Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said.
He said the fire spread to a nearby 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, damaging it. The fire is under investigation.
In other cases:
• $40 and a black 9mm handgun valued at $489 were reported taken about 10:38 a.m. Tuesday from a 2007 GMC Yukon parked at Ameristar Casino 4116 Washington St.
• A 10-foot trailer carrying a Craftsman riding lawn mower parked in the 4300 block of Taylorwood Drive was reported taken about 1:06 p.m.
• A Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun valued at $200, four fitted caps valued at $160, four pair tennis shoes valued at $500, $800 cash, a 1/2-inch drill, 1/2-inch Milwaukee hammer drill valued at $480, assorted bits and tools valued at $139, a 40-inch impact driver valued at $169, two 8-volt batteries valued at $199, a reciprocating saw valued at $289, two DeWalt bags valued at $29, a nut driver valued at $25, battery charger valued at $69, tape measure valued at $25, and assorted equipment valued at $500, were reported taken about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday from a 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup park at WaterView Casino, 3990 Washington St.
• Members of Pleasant Green Baptist Church reported Tuesday someone wrote checks totaling $1,737 on the church’s account.
• A counterfeit $100 bill was reported passed about 12:25 a.m. Tuesday at the Beechwood Restaurant, 4451 Clay St.
Vicksburg Police made the following arrests Monday:
• Nesha Elizabeth Brown, 33, 208 Leland Drive, was arrested about 8:20 a.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on charges of contempt of court and jumping bail. She was also served with a warrant.
• Latricia Michelle Brown-Allen, 42, 3045 Green St. was arrested about 3:34 p.m. in the 3000 block of Green Street on a charge of contempt of court.
• Sherry Ann McCoy, 28, was arrested about 6:29 p.m. at East Clay Street and I-20 on two counts of contempt of court. She was also served with warrants.
