Six arrested in robbery burglary spree

Vicksburg police have arrested six people on armed robbery and burglary charges, clearing up a rash of reported robberies and burglaries in the city and one burglary in the county, Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said.
The arrests are the result of a joint police-sheriff’s office investigation that began with the Oct. 29 robbery of an employee of the Vicksburg Animal Hospital on Baldwin Ferry Road.
Arrested were:
Alton Andre Burden, 48, 900 Blossom Lane, two counts of armed robbery,
two counts of business burglary and two counts of conspiracy to commit crimes. He is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond, and has a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Burden faces a county charge of accessory before the fact to burglary of a business in the burglary of a store in the 6100 block of Indiana Avenue in which the front door of the business had been pried open. Burden will have an initial appearance on the charge Monday.
Edwards said Burden is believed by police to be the leader of the crime spree, which also involved burglaries of Durst Drugs, 2122 Clay St., and the AM Mart, 3613 Wisconsin Ave.
Jaquan Shondaerious Burden, 18, 902 Blossom Lane, three counts of
business burglary, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime and one count of false pretense. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $475,000 bond.
He faces a county charge of business burglary and will have an initial appearance Monday. Edwards said the Burdens are related.
Derrick Lee Darden Jr., 18, 80 Smallwood Drive, two counts of armed
robbery, two counts of business burglary, and two counts of conspiracy to commit crimes. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $220,000 bond.
He is charged with accessory before the fact to business burglary in the county burglary and will have an initial appearance Monday.
Trayvon Quntis Barnett, 17, 55 Whipperwill Road, one count of armed
robbery, two counts business burglary and two counts of conspiracy to commit crimes. He is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $275,000 bond.
He faces a charge of business burglary on the county burglary and will have an initial appearance Monday.
Barry Clark, 17, 1200 Mission 66, one count of armed robbery and one
count of conspiracy to commit crimes. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Rose Ann Williams-Miller, 39, 1513 Martha St., armed robbery and
conspiracy to commit crimes. Miller is accused of participating in the armed robbery of the Dollar General Store, 2904 Clay St., where she was an employee. She was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $50,000.
