Edwin “Mack” Douglas

Services for Mr. Edwin “Mack” Douglas, age 68, of Leakesville, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Leakesville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Victor Chatham officiating. Burial with military honors followed in the Douglas Family Cemetery.
Mr. Douglas passed away Oct. 31, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital.
Mr. Douglas was retired from the Vicksburg/Warren School District where he served in a number of capacities with the last 18 years being in administration. He served two years in the US Army, served within the community in various ways most recently as a board member for Habitat for Humanity and through the Kairos Prison Ministry. He has always been an active member of the United Methodist Church serving within Hawkins United Methodist in Vicksburg and Leakesville United Methodist, where he was a member.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gwen Edwin Douglas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cecilia Faye Douglas; his children, Lori (Wade) Smith of Dysart, Australia, Dawn (Shawn) Flowers of Madison, and Chase (Kayla) Douglas of Madison; his mother, Alma Jo Douglas of Leakesville; his sister, Cheryl Keyes of Leakesville; his brothers, Larry (Linda) Douglas of Hattiesburg, Bob (Becky) Douglas of Leakesville, and Stacy Jo Douglas of Wiggins. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Abby Jo Flowers, Davis Flowers, Coady Flowers, Colt Smith, and Reagan Smith.

Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton, was in charge of arrangements.
