Burt Woodson

Funeral services for Burt Woodson are to be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Zion Traveler M. B. Church with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, in the funeral home.

Burt Woodson passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in his residence following a brief illness. He was 65. He was retired from Anderson Tully where he had worked as a forklift operator. He attended Mt. Calvary M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lillie Mae Copeland Woodson, and his brothers, Manny Johnson and Clarence Johnson.

He is survived by his son, Avery Hall of Houston, Texas; his stepson, Dewayne Hall of Terry; his 4 daughters, Cynthia Hall of Monroe, Louisiana, Stephanie Hall of Vicksburg, Denise Culbert of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Mattie Lee Hall of Vicksburg; his three brothers, Johnny Woodson of Cleveland, Ohio, Joe Woodson and Leon Woodson, both of Vicksburg; his five sisters, Roberta Stamps, Alberta Wildee, Velma Woodson, Doris Jean Lee and Juanita Byrd, all of Vicksburg; and 9 grandchildren.
