Martha “Marty” Cappaert Walley

Martha “Marty” Cappaert Walley died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 72.
She was born in Michigan on March 29, 1946, the daughter of F.L. and Marilyn Ingold Cappaert.
She lived most of her life in Vicksburg where she attended St. Francis High School and was co-owner of Walley’s Convenience Stores. She was a faithful Catholic and attended mass regularly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F. L. and Marilyn Cappaert; husband James Walley; sister Rae Saget, and niece Laina Bagby.
She is survived by her brothers, Mike Cappaert (Patty) and Danny Cappaert (Pat); sister, Scat Bagby (Greg); nephew, Brent Cappaert; nieces, Brandi Harper, Summer Anderson, Kori Saget, Kappi Jeffers, Traci Stewart, Leigh Ann Wilkins, Blair Hoffer and Brooke Bagby.
Visitation will be from 10–11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Mass will be at noon on Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Robert Dore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Middleton, John Carlisle, James Nowell, Martin Gonzalez, Alec Shiers and Vernon Mathias. Honorary pallbearers will be Sister Patricia Parker, Sister Robyn Huser, Shirley Farish, Mary Margaret Brabston, Cindy Crevitt, McMillan Crevitt and Linda Shannon.
