VPD investigation into weekend burglary at costume store continues

Vicksburg police are continuing their investigation into the weekend burglary of Pretend City Costumes and More, 2424 Washington St.
The break-in was reported about 9:47 a.m. Monday.
According to initial police reports, a total of total of 40 Xbox and PlayStation video game consoles were among the items taken in the reported burglary, but police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said a review of the report Tuesday indicated 40 Xbox and PlayStation games as well as four other games were reported taken in the break-in.
Other items taken included four toy drones valued at $500, an electric guitar valued at $200, silver ice cream maker valued at $400, one JBL headset, valued at $1,500, and $18 from the cash register were reported taken.
Edwards said the building was entered by kicking in a rear basement door, and the suspect or suspects turned all the surveillance cameras toward the ceiling to avoid being identified.
