Governor’s Cup baseball
The Governor’s Cup youth baseball tournament is scheduled for June 28-30 at Sports Force Parks on the Mississippi. The tournament is for teams in the 7U through 16U age divisions. The entry fee ranges from $185 to $375 per team, depending on the age group, and there is a three-game guarantee. The fee includes umpires and baseballs. Admission for fans is $10 per day or $15 for the tournament. Children under age 5 are admitted free.

Star Spangled Night Run
The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation will host the Star Spangled Night Run, a 5K run and race walk in downtown Vicksburg, on Saturday, June 29.
The race will begin at 8 p.m. at the Southern Culutral Heritage Center at 1302 Adams St. The SCHC will also host an after party in its courtyard with live music and food.
The entry fee for the race is $35 for adults, 20 for children, and $120 for corporate or civic club teams of 3-5 members. City tennis program
The City of Vicksburg’s summer tennis program will continue through the end of July at Halls Ferry Park. The daily camp is held Monday through Friday, from 8 to 10 a.m., for children ages 5-18.
A junior team tennis camp will also be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week, from 10 a.m. to noon.
