If you are new to Warren County and are looking for ways to get involved, the Vicksburg-Warren Chamber of Commerce has the perfect program for you.

If you are from Warren County, have lived here your whole life, and think you know everything there is to know about our community, the chamber has a program that will interest you and provide a deeper perspective about the town you call home.

If you are an employer who wants to develop leadership and management skills and get yourself or your staff more ingrained in the community, this program is for you, too.

The Leadership Vicksburg program was formed to shape community leaders through a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges in our community. Keyword: deeper.

Outside of learning basic leadership skills, the program delves into the specific traits Vicksburg and Warren County need to move our community forward. This training will help both newcomers and natives understand the needs of our community and navigate ways we can make the place we call home a better place to live, work and play. It also provides leadership, management and communication skills that can be brought back to the workplace, which can create a better environment for employees and customers.

Leadership Vicksburg also has a reputation for interesting and fun programming.

It’s a win-win-win, for the community, for employers in the area and for the participant going through the program.

The program, which has been in place for a number of years, is taking applications for the 2019-2020 class. Vicksburg and Warren County need future leaders to participate.

The Oct. 1 application deadline is quickly approaching. The investment, which is small for what participants and this community have to gain, for being a part of the program is $450 and one weekday per month for eight months.
